About the Author

            Born and raised in a small town in Maine, Desiree began her Vermont journey when she attended Green Mountain College in Poultney. After graduating from the Environmental Studies program, she moved permanently to Proctorsville, Vermont with her husband Ryan in June of 2007. A lot of her opinions and life choices regarding becoming more self-reliant and green began to develop when she was studying at Green Mountain, but she was not able to realize their impact until recently.
